TAF Best Practice Awards 2013

The Fork Lift Truck Association has been named as a finalist in the prestigious Trade Association Forum (TAF) Best Practice Awards 2013.

The honour recognises the outstanding work undertaken by the FLTA in achieving a sustained improvement in the national accident record and for its work as a leading source of best practice advice in an industry where at least 23 sets of legislation, official guidance and regulations can sometimes prove confusing or time-consuming for companies to interpret.

“Members, the media and fork lift truck users alike rely upon the FLTA office as a first port of call for clarification on contentious, technical, legislative or, crucially, safety issues,” explains Association Chief Executive Peter Harvey.

“This status is further reflected in the Association's recently enhanced website which attracts thousands of spontaneous inbound links from third parties referencing its authoritative and helpful content.

“Accordingly, the site is ranked among Google's most trusted on materials handling matters, and receives tens of thousands of users – with popular content including its ‘fact sheet’ and ‘legislation advice’ areas.

“Importantly, because FLTA Members have complete and immediate access to the full extent of the Association's expertise, in person, online and through an exclusive range of comprehensive technical handbooks and manuals, they, in turn, are trusted as authorities throughout the industry, spreading best practice among their own customers.”

The winners of the TAF Best Practice Awards 2013 will be announced at an Awards evening on Thursday 11th July 2013.
