FLTA chiefs discuss apprenticeships with Lord Heseltine

In attending the launch of the Trade Association Forum on 3rd April, FLTA President Martyn Fletcher and Chief Executive Peter Harvey seized the opportunity to speak to guest of honour Lord Heseltine on the subject of apprenticeships.

At the conclusion of a valuable exchange of ideas, Lord Heseltine recommended contacting his colleague Matthew Hancock, the Minister of State for Skills and Enterprise, along with the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) to pursue the matter further.

Peter Harvey is in the process of doing that while also exploring all available avenues to ensure that the association’s apprenticeship scheme – to be delivered in partnership with BITA – will meet all the needs of both employers and apprentices.

Details of the current apprenticeship scheme can be found on the FLTA website and on the FLTA apprenticeships micro site.
