FLTA helps frame new national Code of Practice

The Fork Lift Truck Association has signed up to a new national Code of Practice… having played a role in helping draft the document.

Produced by the Trade Association Forum, the Code was drawn up in response to the Heseltine Report which sought to:

  • Inject sustainability into the economy
  • Create the conditions for growth
  • Maximise the performance of the UK

The resulting Code sets out the ethical and other standards that apply to a modern Trade Association.

Announcing the decision to sign up, FLTA Chief Executive Peter Harvey said: “We expect our members to work to the highest standard and meet the requirements of the FLTA’s own Code of Practice...

"It seems entirely appropriate that we too should be held to account and operate in an ethical and efficient way.”
