FLTA Awards 2017

The FLTA Awards for Excellence and gala dinner is the biggest and most prestigious annual event in the Materials Handling industry calendar bar none. Now in it's 23rd year, the next FLTA Awards will take place on March 4th 2017. Tickets are available here.

This year will see the return of Gyles Brandreth as Awards host. Back by popular demand, the eloquent entertainer delighted audiences at last year's event and recently recorded the following message for this year's attendees:

Launched to encourage and reward examples of excellence throughout the fork lift truck industry and beyond, the Awards has a truly international appeal with sponsors and winners flying in from Europe and the Far East for the Oscars-style ceremony.

Perhaps the most hotly anticipated of the night's Awards are those given to the overall champions in the four main product categories:
EnvironmentErgonomicsSafety and Innovation.

Winners are presented with the iconic Archie statuette – a symbol of materials handling excellence – at the glitzy celebrations.

For the first time ever, the upcoming Awards will be decided, not by open vote, but by a jury of industry experts. â€‹Read more about them here.

The Awards ceremony is the one evening in the year when all of the UK’s major fork lift truck players come together in one place for a night of fine dining, live music, dancing and networking, and of course, to find out which companies and individuals have triumphed in the eagerly-awaited awards ceremony itself.

A really enjoyable and impressive night. I would like to thank you all for your generous and very kind hospitality. A first class evening.

James Clark, Secretary General, BITA

In 2015 we introduced an exciting new venue - The International Centre in Shropshire - a stunning £250 million conference campus, centrally-located at the birthplace of the British Industrial Revolution.

While no two years are the same, Awards attendees can always expect incredible entertainment and an inspiring guest speaker. TV personalities, radio presenters and sports stars have all made appearances in the past. After the main event, a live band and professional DJ will have everyone dancing the night away.

We all had a most enjoyable evening!  It really was tremendous fun and we’re already looking forward to next year!”
