Welding Fumes: MEMBERS Need to Look at the Level of Protection they Offer
There is new scientific evidence that exposure to any mild steel welding fume, can cause lung cancer and possibly kidney cancer, therefore mild steel welding fume has been reclassification as a human carcinogen.
As a result, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have strengthened its enforcement expectation for all welding fume, including mild steel welding.
